1. Choose a theme to study or review (French articles, expressions of time, animals, etc.)
2. Find royalty free images.

3. Cut and paste images onto the flaps where the word "image" shows on the salière page 4.
4. The questions : click twice on QUESTIONS to select. Then click right and choose "Change text..." Finally type in the question.
5. The answers : do the same as for questions. You can alos put images instead of text for answers.
6. When all the triangular flaps are filled in, all that is left to do, is to print, cut and fold the salière (see how to fold on page 2 of the pdf)

1. Choose a theme (clothes, weather, idiomatic expressions, etc.)

3. Copy & paste the images onto the cards on the grid page 4 : those are your bingo cards which you will draw from.
4. Under each illustration, change the title Ateliers-alea to a word or expression corresponding to the image placed on that particular card.
5. When all the cards are done, create 6 different bingo grids by copying and pasting onto them images from page 4. Make sure your 6 bingo grids are different (even if many images are found from one grid to another).
6. When all the grids are ready, print the set and cut out every card on page 4 and every grid from page 5 to page 10. You can print as many grids as you have students.

How do I use these word-slides

Oral discovery

1.    Start the slide-show (key F5)
2.    Say each word and have students repeat.
3.    After 20 verbs, stop the slide show (Esc key) or go one more round.

Written discovery

4.    After the oral activity, ask students to write down the new verbs as verbs appear on the screen. The should try and remember the meaning of verbs from the illustrations.
5.    Do this twice so that students have the time to write down the verbs the first round and check them the second round.

Diamoramax : slide show game – Who'll be fastest? !

1.    Divide the class into two teams, the Reds and the Blues.
2.    Start the slide-show and the first person to say correctly the verb gets a point for their team.
3.    Every verb correctly pronounced before the entire verb appears on the screen counts 1 point. Any answer given after the verb appears completely doesn't count.
4.    The team with most points wins.

Le Compose phrase

Matériel : pour chaque groupe 1 dé verbes + 1 dé substantifs et 1 feuille pour noter les points, pour chaque joueur 1 crayon et papier. Option : un sablier de 3 minutes.

Nombre de joueurs : 3 à 6

Préparation : ajouter un numéro de 1 à 6 sur chaque dé (ou bien utiliser aussi un dé normal à 6 faces)

- Chaque joueur sera le meneur à son tour.

- Le meneur jette les deux dés. Chacun écrit une phrase sur son papier utilisant le verbe et le substantif. Si le temps est limité, utilisez un sablier de 3 minutes. Sinon c'est quand le meneur a fini d'écrire sa phrase qu'il crie "fini" et tous les joueurs doivent lâcher leur crayon, sinon ils ne gagneront pas de points ce tour-là.

- Lorsque le temps est écoulé (sablier ou meneur qui finit) chacun dit sa phrase (ou montre sa phrase si vous insistez sur l'écrit). Les autres joueurs vont voter combien de points ils donnent pour sa phrase, le maximum de points étant l'addition des points sur les deux dés (donc de 2 à 12 points). On peut donner 0 points si ce joueur a triché ou pas utilisé les mots sur les dés.

- Chaque joueur présente sa phrase à son tour et on comptabilise sur une même feuille les points de chacun.

- Un autre joueur devient le meneur et ainsi de suite.

- On peut fixer au début le nombre de points à atteindre, par exemple 30 ou 50 points.

Le Phrazkourse

Matériel : pour chaque groupe 3 à 4 dés substantifs et 1 feuille pour noter les points, pour chaque joueur 1 crayon et papier. Un sablier de 3 minutes ou un chrono.

Nombre de joueurs : 3 à 6

- Un joueur jette tous les dés

- Chacun doit écrire autant de phrases qu'il peut en utilisant dans chaque phrase au moins deux mots figurant sur les dés.

- Une fois les 3 minutes écoulées chacun lâche son crayon.

- Chacun va lire ses phrases à son tour et les autres joueurs doivent validé (+ 1 point) ou invalider chaque phrase (0 point). Le joueur marque autant de points qu'il a de phrases validées. Une phrase c'est au moins un sujet + 1 verbe + 1 complément. Pour corser vous pouvez demander d'ajouter aussi 1 information complémentaire.

- On peut fixer au début le nombre de points à atteindre, par exemple 20 ou 30 points.

Dé-ssine-moi-un-mouton

Matériel : pour chaque groupe 1 dé, pour chaque joueur 1 crayon et papier.

Nombre de joueurs : 3 à 6

Préparation : ajouter un numéro de 1 à 6 sur chaque dé (ou bien utiliser aussi un dé normal à 6 faces)

- Chaque joueur jette le dé à son tour et doit réussir un acte de communication prédéterminé par l'enseignant (par exemple si le dé représente des magasins, poser une question au vendeur)
Note : on ne peut pas demander la même question qu'un autre joueur, il faut varier!

- Si le joueur a réussi il peut commencer à dessiner son mouton en ajoutant les éléments selon le numéro figurant sur le dé :

1. nuage pour le corps 2. tête 3. un œil 4. un museau 5. une jambe 6 une jambe.

Attention le mouton a besoin d'1 corps, d'1 tête, de 2 yeux, d'1 museau et de 4 jambes.

- Le premier joueur qui a fini son mouton a gagné.

OPTION : vous pouvez changer le dessin en demandant de dessiner

- une araignée (1. corps 2. tête 3. œil 4. crocs 5. jambe 6 jambe)

- une maison (1. carré 2. toit 3. porte 4. fenêtre 5. cheminée 6 fumée)

- etc.
